Terms of Service

Important medical notice

Clearup Health provides health information and education only. It is not a medical service, clinical decision support system, or diagnostic tool. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, diet, or supplementation. Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of anything you read on this platform.

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using the Clearup Health platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Clearup Health Ltd.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Clearup Health. By using the platform, you confirm that you are 18 or over. We do not knowingly provide services to anyone under 18.

You must be a human — accounts registered by automated tools are not permitted.

3. What Clearup Health is and is not

What Clearup Health is

A health information and optimisation platform. We help you understand what your blood test results mean, track them over time, identify trends, and access educational content about nutrition and supplementation.

What Clearup Health is not

  • A medical service or healthcare provider
  • A substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • A clinical decision support system
  • A medical device under UK MDR 2002 or EU MDR 2017
  • A regulated health professional service under the Health and Social Care Act 2012

4. AI-generated content

Clearup uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to generate interpretations of your blood markers and personalised recommendations. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is for informational and educational purposes only
  • AI interpretations have not been reviewed by a clinician
  • AI systems can make errors and may not account for your full medical history
  • You should not rely on AI output to make clinical or treatment decisions
  • Any supplement or dietary suggestions are general recommendations, not prescriptions

All AI-generated content is clearly labelled on the platform.

5. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at legal@clearuphealth.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to keep your credentials secure.

One person per account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

6. Data you enter

You are responsible for the accuracy of health data you enter into the platform. Entering incorrect values will result in incorrect interpretations.

You grant us a limited licence to process the data you enter for the purpose of providing the platform services as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the platform
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent health data
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the platform without our written consent
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

8. Subscriptions and billing

Clearup Health offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service in addition to these terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. If you disagree with a price change, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Refunds are offered at our discretion for annual plans within 14 days of payment. Monthly plans are non-refundable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any health outcomes, clinical decisions, or supplement choices made based on information from this platform
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that errors will be corrected

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the platform — including but not limited to design, text, graphics, algorithms, and software — is owned by or licensed to Clearup Health Ltd and protected by UK copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

11. Third-party links and services

The platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. Medichecks for lab testing). We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content or practices of third-party sites. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

12. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times. We may take the platform down for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances outside our control.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service with 30 days' notice.

On termination, your health data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
